- One of my favorite rock band, Alternating Current/Direct Current a.k.a AC/DC an Australian rock band, formed in 1973 by Malcolm & Angus Young who gave the name when she read it off of the back of her sewing machine circa 1973.As of 2010, AC/DC had sold more than 200 millions album worldwide as of releases of their latest album Black Ice & Iron Man 2 soundtrack,including 71 million albums in United State,making it the highest second album by any band and the second highest selling album in history behind Thriller by Michael Jackson. .
